Leadership Development Programme for Chairpersons / Women Directors of Cooperative Societies from 5-7 June, 2018 conducted by NCCE, New Delhi

Training programme on capacity building for Chairpersons and Women Directors of Cooperative Societies from different part of country has been organised by National Centre for Cooperative Education of NCUI from 5 to 7 June, 2018 at New Delhi. The prime objective of the training was up-gradation of managerial and entrepreneurship skills so that they can manage their cooperative societies in professional manner. 29 participants from five states like Delhi, M.P., Kerala, Gujarat, and Assam were benefited with this programme. The participants also trained about project preparation and planning techniques for establishing micro-enterprise on cooperatives basis to involve more and more women and youth of rural areas for their remunerative and regular income mainly agriculture and rural based enterprises. Consequently various subjects were incorporated in the day to day programme tailored as a training capsule especially for women cooperatives. According to Govt of India policies and changing economic working pattern, the subjects like entrepreneurship skill, GST, Cashless transaction etc were also included in the training schedule.

The programme was inaugurated by Sh. N. Satya Narayana Chief Executive NCUI. In his address he said, that Women Cooperatives are playing very positive role to increase the house hold income by undertaking various activities in India. He also said that agro-based small processing cooperatives should be commenced by women in rural area. Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director NCCE also emphasised for motivations by made youth to associate with cooperative fold for employment and regular income in villages. Smt. Bhavana, Member Women Empowerment Committee of NCUI shared her experience about proper management and smooth functioning of cooperatives. The participants have delivered their positive remarks and shared their experience. Sh. Anant Dubey, Assistant Director, coordinated the programme successfully. All participants highly appreciated the programme and suggested more programmes should be organised for women cooperatives so that skill of women can be build-up as tool of income and employment generation in India.
