PROGRAMME REPORT
IFFCO PLANT, KALOL (8 – 9 Jan., 2019) & IFFCO PLANT, KANDLA, GUJARAT (10 – 11 Jan., 2019)
  • PROGRAMME TITLE & VENUE:

    Training Programme on Cooperation and Cooperative Management for Officers of IFFCO at IFFCO Plant, Kalol from 8- 9 Jan.,2019 and at IFFCO Plant, Kandla, Gujarat from 10-11 Jan.,2019.


  • NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:

    26 participants at Kalol and 29 participants at Kandla attended the programme respectively (list enclosed).


  • OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME:

    The main objective of the programme was to acquaint the participants in understanding the functions of Cooperative Organizations, management and their development and sensitize them based on the cooperative aspects.


  • DURATION & TOTAL NUMBER OF SESSIONS:

    The programme was conducted for two days on each plant respectively consisting of 08 sessions.


  • A BRIEF REPORT OF THE PROGRAMMES:
(a)   Kalol :

The programme was inaugurated by Sh. S. Mohan, DGM (EPC), IFFCO Plant Kalol, Gujarat, Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, Dr. A. R. Srinath, Director, NCUI, New Delhi and Shri M. Srinivas, SM (Training) were also present on the dais. The participants from training division and other offices of different divisions were also present in the inaugural session. During the inaugural address DGM (EPC) appreciated the initiative taken by the NCCE for organizing the said programme and he also encouraged the participants to take out the inputs from the programme so that they can work in their areas with the acquainted knowledge about the cooperatives as well as IFFCO Management for its better prospects. The training programme has changed the attitude of the employees, so that they will perform better in their day to day work. Sh. O.P. Dayama, JGM Technical (Unit Head) IFFCO Plant Kalol, Gujarat in his remarks has appreciated the employees who participated in the programme showing their keen interest in acquiring the knowledge about the Cooperation and Cooperative Development. Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, New Delhi, Shri M. Srinivas, SM (Training), Dr. A. R. Srinath, Director, NCUI, New Delhi and Shri Ravi Sojitra, JFR, IFFCO Plant, Kalol, Gujarat were also present. The overall programme was highly satisfied. Sh. Y. V. Mistry, Manager, (NPK), IFFCO Plant, Kalol, Gujarat proposed the vote of thanks.

Later on , the participants visited Taluka Purchase Union Limited, Kalol, Gujarat in coordination with the Marketing Division, IFFCO to acquaint the knowledge of the books of accounts, conducting meeting, financial statement, office procedures, etc.

(b)   Kandla :

The programme was inaugurated by Shri A.K. Sharma, JGM (Marketing), where Shri Ra, Jaisal, DGM, IFFCO, Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE AND Dr. A. R. Srinath, Director, NCUI, New Delhi were also present. During the inaugural address, DGM (Marketing) informed that such type of the training programme is need of the hour to acquaint the knowledge about the cooperatives as well as IFFCO Management for its better prospects. He appreciated the day to day programme and as well as the initiative taken by NCUI in this regard. The training programme has changed the attitude of the employees, so that they will perform better in their day to day work. Shri Satish, AGM (Training) proposed the vote of thanks to the chair.

Later on, as a part of the study visit the participants were also taken to Adani Fort, Mundra with IFFCO officials to know about the cargo movement and its applications for import and export of fertiliser and its benefit.

  • MAJOR POINTS DISCUSSED WITH THE PARTICIPANTS DURING THE TRAINING PROGRAMME:
    1. History of Cooperative Movement in India, its contribution to the Indian Economy.
    2. Principles, Values, Ideology and Philosophy of Cooperatives.
    3. Problems & Challenges before Cooperative Movement in India.
    4. Cooperative Management – Special Focus on IFFCO Management and its Structure.
    5. Special features of Cooperative Organisation (How Cooperative Organization is different to a Company).
    6. Salient Features of Multi State Cooperative Act, 2002 and 97th Constitutional Amendments and Recent Changes in Cooperative Law.
    7. Marketing Strategies of IFFCO, Fertiliser, Policies and Subsidy etc.
  • THE FEEDBACK GIVEN BY THE PARTICIPANTS:

    The programme was found very useful and effective by all the participants. The participants gave their views in evaluation of the programme i.e. Contents – Relevant, Training Material – Good, Duration of the Programme – Adequate, Faculty and Contents – Very Good, Methodology of Teaching – Very Good.
    The participants also suggested that the duration of the programme may be extended for three days.
