Shri Dileep Sanghani, an eminent cooperator and Chairman of IFFCO was unanimously elected as President, National Cooperative Union of India in the elections held on 23rd November, 2020.
Born on 12th May, 1954, Shri Sanghani holds BA, BCom, LLB educational degrees. Elected as a Member of 10th Parliament (Lok Sabha) from Amreli constituency, he later on represented Amreli constituency for four terms. In 2007, he was elected as a Member of Legislative Assembly from 45-Amreli constituency of Gujarat and appointed as Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Cooperation, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cow breeding, Law and Justice, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs, Prison when Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He also served as a Member of the Board of Director of NCUI, NAFED in the past.
